Popular analytics platform Parse.ly that performed analysis on news websites made an interesting finding. Surprisingly, in this survey, Facebook has reportedly taken over giant google as top traffic driver to news websites. It was found by parse.ly that 43% of traffic on websites is driven by Facebook and 35%, by Google.
This is the first time Facebook defeated Google in the race. Statistics slightly were more for Facebook during last October. But the variation is clearly differentiable now. We have to wait to see whether Google plans a new strategy or what else it is going to do.
